2. Description of Service

LegacyVault is a digital legacy planning tool that allows you to organize and store personal information including account credentials, financial details, legal documents, personal notes, final wishes, and trusted contact information. The Service is designed to help you prepare important information for your family and trusted individuals.

LegacyVault is for storing and organizing information and documents. It does not provide legal, financial, or professional advice. It is not a substitute for consulting with a qualified attorney, financial advisor, or other professional. Please ensure your documents and plans meet your local legal requirements.

3. User Accounts

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of all content you upload, store, or share through the Service ("User Content"). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your User Content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not access, review, sell, or share your User Content except as necessary to operate the Service or as required by law.

5. Trusted Access

You are solely responsible for deciding who to designate as a trusted person and what information to share. LegacyVault is not responsible for any actions taken by your designated trusted individuals.

6. Subscription and Payments

The Service offers both free and paid subscription plans. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time. Upon cancellation, you will retain access to your data under the free plan limits. We do not delete your data because you cancel a paid subscription.

7. Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service for any unlawful purpose, to store content that violates the rights of others, to attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts, to interfere with the operation of the Service, or to upload malicious software or harmful content.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. LegacyVault shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases, though we may retain certain data as required by law.
